Secret Valley Golf Course
Visit the Secret Valley Golf Course to see a different side of Cypriot golf. This clever course has been hidden in a beautiful natural valley, but gazes out towards the ocean. It is an ideal course for people who want a bit of everything. The proximity to the coast means that conditions may become more challenging if the wind picks up and blows through the valley.
The course runs through the lower sections of a stunning natural valley, which lies just a few kilometres drive from Paphos. The most spectacular features of the valley are the colourful rock formations which appear to change colour in different light conditions. Visiting the course just after dawn almost feels like a completely different place compared to visiting just before dusk! In addition to the unusual rock formations, players must be mindful of the numerous water hazards that are situated around the course. During the wetter months, a natural winter stream also adds an extra dimension of challenge to the course. Players must consider all shot placement carefully or else they could see their hopes of a perfect round sinking.
The majority of the course is planted with mature Mediterranean flora. The fairways are Bermuda grass, whereas the greens have been laid with Bent grass to allow the ball to run better.
Practice facilities in Secret Valley include; a 300 metre driving range, 3 full-size practice greens, 2 full-size bunkers, a warm-up area and a golf simulator. The clubhouse offers two fantastically situated balconies with views of the 18th green for relaxing after your round. A la Carte menus are available 7 days a week in the clubhouse restaurant. If you realise that you have forgotten any essential golf items you can pick them up from the fully stocked Pro Shop.
