Ajda is a typical grain used in Slovenia, in direct translation it means buckwheat and is also grown in large amounts in the Prekmurje region. The Hotel Ajda lives and breathes with this local grain and guests will encounter it on every step throughout the hotel. It is used in pillows for better comfort and deep sleep, in gastronomy to enrich flavours and bring to life local dishes, but the grain is also seen around the hotel depicted as artwork or simple decoration. Its healthy effects are well known to the local community and Hotel Ajda is a true monument to its significance.
